01What Sagace is

Sagace builds artificial intelligence for biology. The products reachable from this site (the active-learning workspace, the toxicity classifier, the virtual pathways report) are a private research preview. They are made available for evaluation and research, not as a validated tool for clinical, diagnostic, regulatory or safety decisions.

Nothing the products output is medical, clinical, pharmaceutical or regulatory advice. Model predictions are estimates. Verify anything you intend to rely on.

02Accounts

Access requires an account. You agree to give an accurate email address, to keep your credentials to yourself, and to tell us promptly if you believe someone else has reached your account.

• One account belongs to one person. Do not share credentials or a sign-in code.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account until you report it compromised.
• You may close your account at any time by writing to hello@sagace.org.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that threatens the service or other users, or that we are required to act on. Where we can, we will say why.

03Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service to design, develop or produce a biological, chemical, nuclear or radiological weapon, or anything else intended to cause harm;
• attempt to reach accounts, data or systems you have not been given access to, or to probe, scan or overload the service;
• reverse-engineer, scrape or automate against the products beyond what an interface openly offers;
• upload content you have no right to upload, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
• present model output as validated fact, or as the work of a person.

04Your content

What you submit to the products stays yours. You grant Sagace the permission it needs to host, process and display that content in order to operate the service for you, and for nothing else.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train models for other customers without your explicit agreement.

05Our content

The site, the products, the models behind them, the Sagace name and the visual identity belong to Sagace. The brand assets published on the brand page may be used to refer to Sagace accurately; nothing else is licensed by these terms.

06Availability

A research preview changes. Features may be added, altered or removed, and the service may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We do not promise a level of availability, and we do not guarantee that data held in the preview will be preserved indefinitely. Keep your own copy of anything that matters.

07Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sagace excludes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Sagace is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or any decision taken on the basis of model output. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

08Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version. If a change materially affects you, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
